Digital workshops will be held on Wednesday, March 29, the day before the Digital Summit. Each workshop will focus on a specific topic, including: social media analytics, Google analytics, infographics, design skill for non-designers, CRM and marketing automation, video for social media and Google tools.
If you are looking for practical, hands-on instruction, these workshops are a perfect fit. The sessions will be geared for small business owners and non-profit marketers in particular. Don’t forget to bring your laptop to interact with the presenter and take notes.
The workshops will be instructed by the following speakers:
Tim Cigelske is Social Media Director at Marquette University, which has been ranked as one of the 10 most influential higher education Twitter accounts. He is the author of “Analytics to Action: A Guide to Social Media Measurement,” and he teaches Social Media Analytics and Measurement in the Diederich College of Communication. His class has used social media crowdfunding to help raise more than $53,000 for research, scholarship, service and innovation.
Jennifer Harpham is the Assistant Director of the Wakerly Media Lab for Innovation & Creativity at Marquette University; an innovation hub located within the College of Communication. The Wakerly is open to all faculty, staff, and students within the University and experiments with technology for classrooms and independent projects, like drones, virtual reality, and 3D printing. She is also a part of a team that creates and designs all of the digital and marketing materials for promotional and recruitment purposes. Jennifer received a B.A. in Journalism and Sociology at Marquette University and a M.Ed. in Educational Technology with a concentration in Emerging Technology at Lesley University.
Jen Janviere is a photographer, educator and multimedia professional based in Milwaukee. She earned a BFA degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in graphic design and an MFA degree from Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA. In her spare time, she travels and blogs about Midwest cuisine and culture.
Andy Boyle is a writer, web developer and comedian. Before becoming the Director of Platform Architecture at Axios, Andy worked at Breaking News, the Chicago Tribune, the Boston Globe, the St. Petersburg Times, and The New York Times Regional Media Group, where his work was cited in the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News.
Tim leads the Analytics Team at Laughlin Constable. His team works to assign metrics to all advertising mediums and measures key performance indicators for marketing campaigns. Through Laughlin’s Full Circle Tracking approach, he analyses how multichannel advertising influences individuals throughout the consumer decision journey. He works with clients in the healthcare, automotive, financial, industrial, insurance and CPG industries.
Prior to joining Laughlin Constable, Tim worked in corporate marketing and web development in the financial technologies sector. Tim is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelors in Business Administration in Marketing.
Jenny is a Business Strategist and has been leading email and marketing automation campaign strategies at Laughlin Constable for the last five years. Her team leverages these strategies to support business goals at every stage of the consumer decision journey and drives lead generation and lead nurturing plans for clients. She is certified in IBM Marketing Cloud (Silverpop) and Google Analytics, and champions effective measurement and ongoing optimization approaches. Prior to joining Laughlin Constable, Jenny spent four years in corporate marketing and communications in the travel and hospitality sector. Jenny is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin La Crosse with a Bachelor of Science in both the College of Business Administration and the College of Liberal Arts.
As a Digital Strategist at Laughlin Constable, Emily concepts and implements marketing strategies that drive business results for clients across industries such as b2b, healthcare and insurance.
Specifically, Emily creates actionable marketing strategies that drive lead generation, event registration, loyalty and other key goals for clients through platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM, ClickDimensions and Oracle Marketing Cloud. Most recently, Emily drove the implementation of an integrated CRM and marketing automation platform at LC, enabling advanced lead nurturing and new business prospecting. Emily has led strategies for clients such as Master Lock, SentrySafe, Paris Presents, Inc., among others.
Emily is a graduate of Marquette University with a Bachelors in Business Administration.
